Newly elected member of Federation of International Football Association, FIFA Council, Mr Amaju Pinnick, has promised to help reposition football globally.
Mr Pinnick secured a seat in the Federation of International Football Association Council defeating Mr Walter Nyamilandu by forty-three votes to eight at the Confederation of African Football’s forty-third General Assembly in Rabat, Morocco.
He becomes the third Nigerian to be elected into the council after Oyo Orok Oyo 1980-1988 and Amos Adamu 2006-2010.
The President of the Nigerian Football Federation also believes the victory will impact positively on Nigerians.
