Christ Light Healing Clinic Igbu Village Awkuzu, in Oyi Local Government Area has organized a marathon race to create awareness on preventive measures against cancer.
The marathon race which kicked off at the former Awkuzu SARS junction witnessed huge turnout of Ndi Anambra and terminated at Ugwuna Adegbe Primary School, Aguleri junction, Anambra East council area.
Correspondent, Emmanuel Okonkwo was there and reports that Christ Light Healing Clinic Igbu village, Awkuzu, is a healthcare facility specialized in treatment of all kinds of cancer, goiter and other diseases using herbal medicines.
During the marathon race which featured eight point two kilometers race for the females and sixteen kilometers for the males, Mr. Onyeka Ojide took first position, Mr. John Nwokwu second position, and Mr. Chinenye Ezedibia took third position in the male category, and smiled home with hundred thousand naira, seventy-five thousand naira, and thirty-five thousand naira respectively.
While Miss Chinasa Onuzulike came first in the female category, Miss Ifeoma Nwoye came second, and Miss Success Nyeche came third, and they went home with the sum of hundred thousand naira, seventy-five thousand naira, and thirty-five thousand naira respectively.
Speaking shortly after presenting the cash prices to the winners, the Founder of Christ Light Healing Clinic, Dr. Joseph Okechukwu-Igwudu while describing cancer as a deadly disease which annually claims lives globally, said the clinic is out to reduce the number of victims of the disease using herbal medicine, and disclosed that they treat their patients at a very low and affordable amount, saying that they are out to save lives not to make money.

In various interviews, some cancer victims who were treated in the clinic, including Mrs. Ifeoma Okoye from Nkpor, and Mrs. Ngozika Odemene from Anaku narrated how God healed them of breasts cancer through Christ Light Healing Clinic after much trials at several places.
