The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Oilserv Limited, Sir Emeka Okwuosa has lauded Anambra State Government for naming major roads in Awka Capital City after some prominent Ndi Anambra to mark Governor Willie Obiano’s seven years in office.
Sir Emeka, an indigene of Oraifite, who had the road immediately after Anambra State Government House, stretching from Awka/Enugu express road linking Awka GRA, named after him, said the exercise will no doubt, enhance effective communication, policing, transportation and e- commerce in Anambra state.
Sir Okwuosa who was represented by a former Managing Director of ABS, Sir Osselloka Offoh at the event, noted that the road is strategic and thanked Anambra state government for the recognition and promised to take ownership of the road.
The Managing Director Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Venerable Amechi Okwuosa, explained that the Awka Capital City naming project will put Anambra state at par with other Western world where one can use Google to locate his destination among others.
For the Managing Director Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency, Mr. Jude Emecheta, the exercise was geared towards remembering those who work for Anambra state which will spur others to help in the development of the state.
