Dying at the age of eighty-nine is a blessing of longevity from God and many feel it is worth celebrating.

No wonder the children, in-laws and grandchildren of late Ezinne Agnes  Ilogu accorded her last respect and great honour during the celebration of life of the Matriarch.

Njideka Okoye of the ABS was there and  reports that  during a sermon at her burial service at the Cathedral Church of Saint Gabriel, Umueri, Anambra East Council Area, the retired Bishop of Isiukwuato, Umunneochi Diocese, Right Reverend Sam Chukwuka, described the deceased as a committed Christian, and reminded people of the need to live a good life and be rooted in Christ no matter the challenges.

The Bishop, Diocese of Niger West, Right Reverend Johnson Ekwe, while speaking during interment at the deceased compound, said late Ezinne Agnes was an epitome of peace and an outstanding love for Christ and humanity, advising the family to uphold her legacies.

One of her sons in-law and traditional ruler of Umueri, Igwe Benneth Emeka, described Ezinne   Agnes as a woman of peace and a great farmer of repute, advising the children to emulate her legacies and thanked God for a successful burial.

Two of her daughters, Christiana Ilogu and Lady Chinwe Emeka, said their late mother was a virtuous woman, known for her philanthropy and kindness, while one of her grandsons, Nonso Emeka regretted that they will miss her company, but thanked God for giving her long life.

The burial ceremony featured condolences by in-laws, relations and friends, dances and other displays.
