Farmers in Anambra state were seen in a sorrowful mood as they mourn one of their own, Late Mrs Rose Ezigbo Isidienu.
Late Mrs Rose Isidienu aged forty-nine was Anambra East Coordinator, Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria RFAN, the Coordinator Omambala Farmers Association and also the Chairperson Onize Women Cooperative Society.

it was a complete sorrowful atmosphere and a moment of grief for Anambra farmers especially the rice Farmers as they converge at Enugwu Aguleri to pay last respect to a farmer of high repute, Mrs Rose Isidienu.
Many were seen shedding tears, while others were moody asking questions such as, “who will lead us, who will inspire us” among others.
Her level of commitment to agricultural development and food sufficiency in the state was in display as the burial attracted key stakeholders in the Anambra agricultural sector including the Commissioner for Agriculture Mr Nnamdi Onukwuba, the Head Development Finance Office, CBN Awka, Mrs Bridget Okpareke and many other farmers.
Addressing the family, the state Commissioner for Agriculture Mr Nnamdi Onukwuba noted that her death was a big blow not just to the family but to the agric community and indeed entire state urging them to take solace in the good life she lived.
He also urged the farmers to unite their strength to ensure her dreams are achieved in agriculture.
The Head Development Finance Office, CBN Awka, Mrs Bridget Okpareke who described her death as unfortunate, noted that Anambra has lost a great farmer but expressed hope that her legacy will live beyond her.
On his part, the state Chairman of RFAN, Mr Simon Ofordile who spoke through the Chairman Omambala Farmers Association and RFAN Ayamelum Coordinator, Mr Stephen Nwanya recounts her contributions to the agricultural development of the state.
Mr Ofordile assured that her vision in agricultural sector will not die with her as the group is committed to food sufficiency in the state having been provided with the enabling environment by the state government.
For the first son of the deseased, Mr Christian Isidienu, his greatest pain was that his mother did not enjoy the fruits of her labor having said that death is a price all must pay.
Others who spoke during the event, were the Chairman Aguleri Royal Council and Patron Omambala Farmers Association, Chief Dominic Ndife, the President National Association of Building Students Oko Chapter, Comrade Christian Omeke and a relative, Deacon Edwin Ofordile.
The event featured preaching anchored by Pastor Edwin Peters of the God’s General Word Assembly as well as condolences by RFAN, Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Onukwuba, Omambala, Farmers Association, Development Finance Office, CBN Awka among others.
