Anambra State Government has called on private individuals and companies to engage in robust partnerships so as to transform the tourism sector.

The Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Culture and Tourism, Dr Ken Anierobi who briefed newsmen in Awka on the State government’s plan to harness the tourism potential in the State, noted that Anambra State has created an enabling environment that had been attracting investment to all sectors of the economy which underscores the need to further project the tourism sector in the global map.

Dr Anierobi said they have a lot of cultural activities including festivals that will be upgraded by bringing in sponsorships to aid its world-class standards saying that the hospitality industry is the most affected during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Dr Anierobi stressed the need to support the restructuring of such festivals to boost the economy.
