Anambra Civil Society Network, ACSONET, a platform for Citizens and Non State Actors has joined well-meaning Nigerians and stakeholders in applauding the state governor, Chief Willie Obiano on the prompt delivery of Anambra State International Cargo and Passenger Airport.
The accolades came as the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Captain Musa Nuhu described the International Cargo/Passenger Airport, as one of the best airports in Nigeria.
The National Coordinator, Civil Society Coalition on Service Delivery, Comrade Chris Azor, made the commendation at Abuja after the launch of the Social Protection Movement, SPM.
Comrade Azor implored citizens to support the Governor in ensuring integrity, timely and strategic project delivery, going forward.
He said that the Airport located at Umueri is running simultaneously with a ten thousand sitting capacity International Conference Centre and Awka Township Stadium.
However, SPM is an Enhancing Social Protection Programme in Nigeria being implemented by African Network for Environment and Economic Justice to complement the existing social protection forum in the country.
The project will be implemented in five states of Anambra, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa and Ekiti.
