Stakeholders in Anaocha Council Area have thrown their weight behind the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, to sustain transformational leadership in the state.
The stakeholders made their mind known during a meeting held at the Council Headquarters Neni
Correspondent Amaka Chibuzor Okoye reports that the meeting attracted stakeholders from the ten communities that make up the Council Area with the aim of rallying support for APGA, to be successful in future elections.
Addressing the gathering, the Transition Committee Chairman Of Anaocha Council Area, Mr Patrick Onyedum said they came together to champion ways of mobilizing grassroots’ support for their party, noting that since APGA government took over, it has made landmark achievements by bringing democracy dividends to the door steps of Ndi Anambra.
Mr Onyedum enumerated what Ndi Anaocha have gained from the present administration and how Governor Willie Obiano has transformed the state, stressing the need for all hands to be on deck in the development of Anambra state.
The Anaocha Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Barrister Ndubuisi Obiadi said party members have to be proud of their identity and strive hard to ensure that they retain their seat at the Government House by going to all the nooks and cranny of the Council area and mobilize support for the party and assured that they will give equal attention to all the candidates and will not disappoint Ndi Anaocha during the party’s primary election.
On his part, a stakeholder from the Council Area, Chief Cyril Okoye maintained that the meeting was so unique as it gave people the opportunity to air their minds and prayed for peace, unity and oneness in the party.
Another Chieftain of the party from Ichida, Chief Innocent-Chikezie noted that if all communities in the Local Government will come together and synergize, to forge a united front, and pointed out that Governor Willie Obiano has made landmark achievements in Anambra state.
The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Social Reorientation, Mrs Mitchell Onugbolu asked party members to pray hard for APGA to emerge victorious in the November poll, as Governor Obiano has laid down legacy projects in the state.
