The Archbishop, Ecclesiastical Province on the Niger, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim has charged Christians to always offer gifts to God in appreciation for His goodness.

Archbishop Ibezim gave the charge while delivering his Easter message at the Cathedral Church of Saint Faith, Awka.

Religion correspondent, Amaka Chibuzor-Okoye reports that Most Reverend Ibezim, who is also the Bishop of Awka Anglican Diocese, urged Christians to give more to God, frowning that many Christians, who seek God’s presence often forget to offer to God what belongs to him.

He explained that giving to God is beyond monetary things, as there are gifts that are more precious to God than money even as he reminded Christians that Christ paid a supreme prize at the cross just to redeem them.

Speaking on Easter celebration themed, “Who Will Roll Away This Stone,” drawn from the book of Mark, Most Reverend Ibezim reminded Nigerians that it is the grace of God that kept them till this year’s Easter.

He lamented the waste of blood and attacks on innocent citizens by unknown people and called on the federal government to rise up to its challenges.

Most Reverend Ibezim applauded the Obiano led administration for making security apparatus its top priority urging it not to relent in flushing out the bad elements from the state even as he called on all to be conscious of their immediate environment.

While praying for a smooth Easter celebration, Most Reverend Ibezim advised Nigerians to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
