Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Vincent Okpala, has applauded a team of researchers on Social Innovation in Health, SIHI, from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, whose finding he said, will provide solutions to the state health sector.
While describing the innovation as borderless, Dr. Okpala urged them to ensure that the innovations are taken beyond Nigeria noting that the state values such feats.
He confirmed that their innovation would produce results and proffer solutions to problems in the health sector through the use of technology even as he acknowledged their timeliness in organizing and producing the results.
Commissioner Okpala emphasized that learning should not be only based on theories, counseling the students to take advantage of new technology to assist in solving problems in the society.
The Vice-Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Professor Charles Esimone, who spoke through the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Professor Joseph Ikechebelu, assured the group of his full support, urging them not to relent in their efforts at improving the Health sector through technology.
