A one-day practical workshop, organized by Anambra Broadcasting Service Awka, for the staff of its Camera Unit has ended with a charge    to always improve their skills, in the ever changing media world.

Correspondent, Kenechukwu Chukwudi reports that in the present day digital and social media era, telling stories without matching visuals are incomplete, hence the workshop for the cameramen to be armed with the requisite knowledge on the workings of a video camera, its handling and operation.

In an interview, the Head of Programmes Department, ABS, Mrs. Nneka Ekwunife, harped on the importance of constant training and retraining of staff to sharpen their skills to fit into the ever changing media world, even as she urged the participants to use the camera to add creative content in the media world.

In the same vain, the Head of Camera Unit, Mr. Joseph Obunse, affirmed that learning to improve one’s skills must be continuous and appreciated the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ABS, Chief Uche Nworah for his support, assuring that value will be added to their services.

A resource person, Mr. Obot Etuknwa together with Mr. Obunse, nurtured the participants on relevant skills in taking better shots with the camera.

Some of the participants, including Mr. Onyedikachi Oranye and Stanley Onuegbu, while describing the workshop as a refresher course, said it is very important as it has positioned them to become content creators.
