Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Vincent Okpala has assured Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, PSN, state government’s continued collaboration in key decisions concerning the health sector.
Dr. Okpala gave the assurance when the newly elected executive of the PSN Anambra State chapter paid him a visit, in his office at the Jerome Udoji state Secretariat Complex, Awka.
He noted that Governor Willie Obiano’s vision was to establish quality, affordable and accessible healthcare service delivery for Ndi Anambra.
The Commissioner extolled the PSN contributions in the state health sector noting that their efforts and commitment cannot be overemphasized.
The new state chairman, Mr. Josephat Obasi said that the visit was aimed at familiarizing with the Commissioner as well as to discuss issues affecting them aimed at chatting a way forward.
Mr. Obasi however appealed for approval of cadre for pharmacists in civil service, attainment of Grade level seventeen, employment of more pharmacists, inauguration of fake, counterfeit and substandard drug task force and pharmacist seal among others.
