Bishop Israel Okoye of Ihiala Anglican Diocese has charged those in leadership position to be guided in their conduct as people especially the young ones look up to them as role model.

 

Bishop Okoye in a sermon  during the burial service of Sir Kenneth Nwokeabia, popularly called Sir KBC, at All Saints Parish Church, Little Wood Estate, Obosi, which drew personalities from far and near including retired Archbishop, Province of the Niger, Most Reverend Maxwell Anikwenwa, described the deceased as a role model whose lifestyle impacted positively on the larger society.

The Bishop said late Sir KBC Nwokeabia as a teacher and principal, was good both in character and learning through which he groomed many people maintaining that Christians must show the light wherever they are.

 

He stressed that little things people neglect maybe their obstruction to heaven telling Christians to stop taking people for granted as seen in the story of Biblical rich man and Lazarus.

The burial ceremony of late Sir KBC was also a moment of tribute from the deceased friends and associates from DMGS Old Boys Association, Knights of Saint Christopher, Diocese on the Niger, among others.

 

Speaking to the ABS, the children of the deceased, Mrs Uzoma Anyaegbuna who is the first daughter, Barrister Kosisonna Nwokeabia, son in law, Mr. Arinze Onwusika, gave  testimonies to the exemplary life of their late father, promising to carry on with his legacies while Barrister Victor Nwokeabia said his father’s name was a password as according to him, his integrity was beyond this world and appreciated those who contributed in making the burial a success.

Correspondent, Oggorchukwu Oranu reports that special song by Saint Michael’s choir, Ifite Awka, students of DMGS, Onitsha, Valedictory Anthem by DMGS Old Boys, condolences by relatives, friends, in-laws and well-wishers featured during the funeral ceremony.
