Soludo Support Group (SSG) has presented a cheque for ten million naira to Professor Charles Chukwuna Soludo, for the purchase of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Nomination and Expression of Interest Form.
Professor Soludo, a former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, is among aspirants for APGA ticket for the November 2021 Anambra Governorship election.
The cheque presentation, which took place at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, Awka, the Anambra State capital, attracted the former member of the House of Representatives that represented Orumba North and South Federal Constituency, Honourable Ben Nwankwo, Anambra State Commissioner for Public Utilities, Engineer Emeka Ezenwanne, among other dignitaries, during which Chief Anthony Ugorji was decorated as “Soludo Ambassador”
Chairman of the occasion and member representing Njikoka Two Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Sir Pete Ibida, Transition Committee Chairman of Ogbaru Local Government Area, Comrade Arinze Aworgu, as well as the Convener of Youths Earnestly Seek Soludo, YESS, Dr. Nelson Omenugha, described Professor Soludo as enigma, phenomenon and institution, adding that Anambra State is privileged to have him as a son and potential governor given his national and international accomplishments.
On their parts, the National Co-ordinator of Soludo Support Group, Honourable Chinedu Nwoye, National Woman Leader, Honourable Theresa Okoye, as well as the Anambra Central Co-ordinator of the group, Comrade Ochije Modili, who called for sustained grassroot mobilisation, noted that it elected, Professor Soludo will fight the cause of the common man.
Speaking after receiving the cheque, Professor Soludo, whose joy knew no bounds, thanked the group and others for the practical support, and promised to continue to use his positions to touch lives in more positive ways, thanking Governor Willie Obiano and successive administrations in the State for raising the bar of development in the State.
