Governor Willie Obiano has called on the citizens to continue to make positive contributions for the betterment of the society.

 

Governor Obiano made the call at the burial service of Late Iyom Roseline Ijenwa Okafor, mother of Chief Arthur Obi Okafor, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, of Ogbu village, Abatete, Idemili North Local Government Area.

Governor Obiano, represented by his Deputy, Dr Nkem Okeke, noted that man’s positive contribution shapes the world, including Nigeria, where call for restructuring has continued to reverberate.

 

He urged the bereaved family, friends and well-wishers to take solace in the rewards for exemplary life lived by the deceased.

 

Earlier in his sermon during the service presided over by the Anglican Bishop on  the Niger, Right Reverend Owen Nwokolo, Venerable Dr. Goddy Iloka, urged Christians to, despite unprecedented insecurity and other challenges facing Christians in Nigeria, look forward to the glorious gathering with the Lord, adding that everything good, including salvation, comes only from God.

Correspondent Joseph Egbeocha reports that one of the Sons of the deceased, Chief Arthur, who recalled fond memories with their mother, thanked esteemed guests, friends and well-wishers for sharing in their moment of grief.
