It was a celebration of life well spent at Ozala village Isuofia, Aguata Council Area of Anambra State as the remains of Late Mrs Eunice Lawrence-Ezeh were laid to rest.

 

Friends of the family, relatives, in-laws and members of  the clergy, gathered to pay their last respect to the matriarch whose burial ceremony began with a requiem Mass at Saint Patrick Catholic Church Isuofia.

Late Mrs Eunice Onukwube Lawrence-Ezeh who died at the age of ninty-six years was the mother in-law  of the Chief Executive Officer of Radopin Supermarket, Mr Raphael Azolo.

 

The burial of the matriarch who was survived by five children, seventeen grandchildren and thirty-three great-grandchildren featured condolences and musical performances.

 

Speaking to the ABS, the last daughter of the deceased, Mrs Enuma Azolo, who explained that their mother’s death dealt a blow to the family, stated that her absence has left a very big vacuum in their family.

Earlier in a homily during the burial mass, the Parish Priest, Saint Mary’s Parish, Awka, Reverend Father, Bernard Anaebena, harped on the need for Christians to live upright life.

 

For the Son in-law, Mr Raphael Azolo, Late Mrs Eunice was a peace loving and kind woman till death and prayed God to grant her soul eternal repose.

 

In an interview, Professor Mercy Anyaegbu of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, noted that the best way to immortalize their late mother is to live out every of her good legacy and also pass it down to their children and grandchildren even as she encouraged the family to take solace in the fact that she lived well on Earth.

 

Appreciating those that came to commiserate with them, the son of the deceased, Mr Paul Ezeh who expressed his delight over the level of honour given to their mother, prayed God to reward everyone accordingly.
