The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says its attention has been drawn to a post, which is currently being circulated on the social media, about a website for INEC voter registration, which is different from the INEC CVR Portal.
A statement by the National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee, Barrister Festus Okoye gave the address of the fake portal ashttps://register.inec-pvc.online/ with shortened URL ashttps://bit.ly/INEC-PvcReg2021.
The statement noted that INEC is totally disassociating itself from the website and any activity carried out on it.
It stated that the commission has not accredited any agency or organization to capture details of intending voters on its behalf and warned the general public that the INEC Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, online portal has not changed but remainshttps://cvr.inecnigeria.
