It was a moment of praise, appreciation, gratitude and thanksgiving as Ndi Aguleri in Anambra East Council Area held a non-denominational prayer and thanksgiving.

The programme, which is an annual event to seek  God’s face upon the land, more especially the protection and progress of Ndi Aguleri including Governor Willie Obiano also aimed at championing peace, togetherness and oneness.

Correspondent Amaka Chibuzor-Okoye reports  that the Ama Obugad Square, Enugwu Aguleri was filled to capacity as the five traditional rulers in the community, led by their chairman, Eze Chukwuemeka Eri, Ndi Ichie na Ojiani and all the sons and daughters gathered to pray to God for His mercies upon them.

Eze Eri in a special prayer session asked God to bless and keep NdiIgbo even as he sought for peace amongst members of the community and its neighbouring towns.

Earlier in a message, Pastor Mike Nnamekwue said blessed is the land or nation that makes Christ its God, strong pillar and rock of ages, calling on Ndi Aguleri to embrace Christ, follow his directives and witness massive turnaround in their lives.

Speaking later, the President General of Aguleri, Barrister Hippo Onwuegbuke and the Vice President, Aguleri World Forum, Barrister John Chidozie said since the inception of this annual prayer session, the community has witnessed massive development, morality and peaceful coexistence.

Contributing, the National President, Aguleri National Youths Association, Comrade Nnamdi Ikeli and the Woman Leader, Iyom Phina Okechi affirmed that the prayer has impacted positively in their community even as they testified that Blessed Iwene Tansi is at work in Aguleri Community.

For the vessel that God used to initiate the prayer, Mrs. Georgina Ogugua, the chairman Ojiana Aguleri, Chief Paul Onuora and the secretary of the prayer summit, Mr. Joseph Ekwebeli,  Aguleri is blessed and prayed God to strengthen their brother, Governor Obiano to finish strong.

Series of prayers were offered for Governor Obiano, sons and daughters of the community, the state and country at large while thanksgiving, praises and other side attractions added glamour.
