The Traditional Ruler of Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area, Igwe Ben Emeka has called on Ndi Anambra to participate fully in the ongoing voter registration exercise in the State.
Igwe Emeka who made the call while speaking to the ABS, appealed to Anambra electorate to use the ongoing voter registration exercise to replace their lost cards, transfer their voter cards where necessary, correct their voter cards with wrong identities and urged those who have attained the age of eighteen to equally use the opportunity to get registered.
The monarch who said that he has replaced his lost voters card, encouraged most especially, the people of Anambra East and West Federal Constituency to ensure that they participate actively in the exercise, as according to him, voter cards remain the only tool they will use to vote candidates of their choice during the November sixth Anambra Governorship Election as well as other subsequent elections.
Igwe Emeka further cautioned youths of Anambra state not to allow themselves to be used as agents of destruction during the forthcoming election, rather to get their voter cards ready to vote according to their conscience during the election.
He equally appealed to politicians to engage in issue-based campaign and avoid acts that could over hit the polity, during and after the election.
