A frontline industrialist, Dr. Godwin Okafor, has said that Anambra State stands comparatively taller among comity of Nigerian states, thirty years after its creation.
Dr. Okafor, who stated this while felicitating with the state at thirty said he, is of the believed that the state is walking towards a brighter future if the present tempo of development, growth and stability are sustained.
Blessing Uchendu reports that according to the renowned industrialist, Anambra State at thirty has made immense developmental progress in-spite of numerous challenges, noting that the state has out-run most oil producing states in overall development.
While noting that successive civilian administrations have consolidated on achievements of their predecessors, Dr. Okafor extolled Governor Obiano on the recent launch of Digital Leather Manufacturing Facility at Ogbunike, noting that the facility matches international standard and expressed hope that Anambra State in the near future will compete with the rest of the world in quality shoes production.
On Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, Dr. Okafor described the project as a big boost to the economic growth of the state as according to him, it will attract foreign income to the state in addition to creating jobs for the teeming youths.
He maintained that Governor Obiano has, through his programs and policies, restored peoples’ confidence in governance, calling for its sustainability. UPSOT
Dr. Okafor, who is also a community leader at Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area, hailed the emergence of Professor Chukwuma Soludo as the APGA standard bearer in the November election, describing him as a man, who has a humble beginning and expressed hope that he will bring his wealth of experience to bear both locally and internationally on the governance of the state.
He called on Anambra voters to choose a candidate that will carry on with the legacy projects of Governor Obiano on the November sixth governorship poll.
