The member representing Onitsha South Two constituency at the State House of Assembly, Honourable Beverly Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche said that Anambra state being ahead of other states in infrastructural development, is one of the reasons Ndi Anambra should celebrate the thirtieth anniversary in style.
Honourable Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche who thanked God for the founding fathers and past Governors of the state including, Dr Chris Ngige, Mr. Peter Obi and Dame Virgy Etiaba, congratulated the present administration of Governor Willie Obiano for bringing Anambra State to the lime light through numerous developmental projects, including the Awka International Conference Center, Awka Township stadium and the three fly overs in Awka, as well as Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, Umueri, among other legacy projects.
The lawmaker maintained that the All Progressives Grand Alliance led administration of governor Obiano has made Anambra, a reference point in both human capital and infrastructural developments as evident in the regular payment of workers salary, offsetting of accumulated pension and gratuity, owed retired staff of Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) and Anambra Newspaper and Printing Cooperation and the building of a new digital studio in ABS, Awka.
Honourable Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche noted that Anambra is second to none in education, agriculture, health, among others, and added that she is proud to be onye Anambra and emphasized the need for a credible leader to succeed Governor Obiano for him to consolidate on the achievements already made by the Governor.
