The All Progressives GrandAlliance Chairman, Anambra East Local Government Area, Chief Joseph Emeka-Ekwealor has called on their members to utilize the opportunity of decentralizing voter registration exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission to get registered. Chief Ekwealor who made the appeal in the Local Governments Headquarters, Otuocha, urged APGA members to go to their various wards and get registered for those who have attained the age of eighteen, correct their voter cards that bear wrong identities replace their lost voter cards as well as transfer their voter cards where necessary. The APGA chairman commended INEC for devolving the voter registration exercise to ward levels, as according to him, the action will ease the difficulty some electorate hitherto encountered in going to their various Local Government headquarters for registration. Chief Emeka-Ekwealor made it clear that voter cards remain the only tool electorate will use to choose their leaders and urged eligible voters to participate in the exercise, especially the youths, as elections are not won with mouth. The APGA Stakeholder who pointed out that the party is fully prepared for the November sixth Anambra Governorship Election, maintained that their candidate, professor Chukwuma Soludo remains the brightest and most competent to take over from Governor Willie Obiano, among all those jostling for the job. He commenced Governor Obiano for his leadership qualities as well as the giant strides his administration has recorded over the years, which he said, will give their party an edge over others, in the forthcoming Governorship poll. Chief Emeka Ekwealor, an indigene of Umuoba Anam, appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission to ensure that the forthcoming Anambra Governorship Election would be devoid of rancor, as well as conduct election which outcome will be satisfactory to every Onye Anambra.
