Christians have been urged not to just attend church but to always work for God in order to receive an everlasting reward.
A guest preacher and founder of Dorcas Foundation Global Outreach, Bishop Nkechi Mbanugo gave the charge at the Ark of God Deliverance Ministry, Amaenyi Awka. Bishop Mbanugo while speaking on the topic, “Memorial Acts” reminded Christians of the need to work for God while alive in order to be remembered by their deeds. The Prelate who named Mary Magdalene, Ruth, Dorcas and Nehemiah as men and women who distinguished themselves for the work of God, urged Christians to toe their parts for them to be recognized by both God and man. The convener of the Christian program, Prophetess Ijeoma Nwachukwu expressed optimism that the theme was carefully chosen and will go a long way in transforming the society, charging delegates to put into practice the knowledge they will garner from the event. A special guest on the programme, Reverend Emmanuel Ibekwe, posited that the conference theme has enormous positive impact on believers which would spur them to change for better and work for God while alive. Correspondent Emmanuel Chigbata reports that Drama presentation, Bible recitation and choreography by children climaxed the service.
