A man endowed with the virtue of charity is one who feels deeply and loves fiercely. He is humble, humane, philanthropic and powerful; such a person excels in whatever he does. He loves, cares, perseveres and feels the pulse of others, especially the youth and down trodden.
Such is an epitome virtue of Dr. Chukwuemeka Franklin Okeke. Hence, tomorrow, all roads will lead to Anaocha Council Headquarters, Neni for the conferment of chieftaincy title of ikemba di ugwu by Anaocha Council of Traditional Rulers on this erudite man of excellence, wisdom and intelligence and stardom.
Born on June 18, 1982, a few hours after Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu’s returned to Nigeria from exile, Dr. Chukwuemeka Okeke is the third child of the famous Chief Sir and Lady Godwin Ubaka Okeke, Onwa Adazi na Anaocha and Chairman, GUO Group of companies. The young Chukwuemeka was very brilliant, thus, he passed out from his Primary School in flying colours and enrolled into the Federal Government College, Enugu and passed out as one of the best.
Today, to the glory of God, Chukwuemeka Franklin Okeke is a graduate of the Georgia State University, Atlanta, where he acquired a B.Sc and a Master’s degree in Neurobiology. He also has a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California, San Diego.
Married to Mrs. Ogochukwu Okeke and blessed with three children, Dr. Okeke was honored by the University of California, San Diego as one of their four outstanding healers under forty years old.
Dr. Chukwuemeka Okeke is the MD/CEO of Spine Communications Limited; founder of RISE Global Health Initiative, California; founder of Aspire Football Club, Adazi-Ani and was the Chairman, Caretaker Committee, Anambra State Football Association. Dr. Okeke sponsored a Free Rural Health Fair in Anambra State where 1,000 people were educated, while 100 families received free 12-month access to healthcare.
In 2013, Dr. Okeke organized Nigeria Epilepsy Care Advancement Program, where 240 epilepsy patients were enrolled into a free 12-month medical care. Same year, he rolled out Free-Clinic-Days program in Anambra that screened over 2,000 people and provided 300 patients with free access to medical care.
He oversaw the first healthcare delivery Public Private partnership. The partnership between RISE Health Corporation and Anambra State Government enabled the rehabilitation of public and private hospitals in the State, a feat celebrated by Governor Willie Obiano, who personally came to unveil the projects. In 2016, Dr. Okeke trained Nursing students, medical students and members of the Federal Road Safety Commission on Basic Life Support and First Aid.
Dr. Okeke, in 2018, sponsored the Anambra Stroke Awareness Campaign project. Last year, supported by New Age Mobile Concepts and GUO Transport Services, he organized Free Medical Outreach at Orumba that took care of over 3,000 people.
In sports development, Dr. Chukwuemeka Okeke, as the Anambra Football Association Chairman, changed the story of football in Anambra State. He relocated the Football Association’s secretariat to a better suited building and organized media rounds for all football club owners, brought in foreign coach trainers to train our local football coaches.
Dr. Okeke further sponsored football scouting programs that gave many talented young Ndi Anambra the opportunity to be selected to play for football clubs in Europe as well as the over 300 talents he has nurtured through his football club, Aspire Football Club Adazi-Ani, the current Anambra State FA Football Champions. He equally hosted the maiden Aspire FC Egwu Ogene contest, which lasted for four weeks. It brought together about 52 ogene musicians from various communities.
Dr. Okeke acknowledges the support from family and friends such as GUO Transport, New Age Mobile Concepts, SIMS Nigeria Limited, Procter and Gamble and University of California, San Diego.
Therefore, as all the traditional rulers in Anaocha L.G.A confer a Chieftaincy title of ikemba di ugwu on this young philanthropist per excellence, tomorrow by 11am at the council headquarters, Neni, all men and women of goodwill are invited. To God be the Glory!
