An Ojoto born philanthropist and business executive in Idemili South Local Government Area, Chief Emmanuel Okafor has been conferred with the chieftaincy title of Igwulube Idemili
He was conferred by Seventeen traditional rulers of various towns in Idemili during the 2021 Idemili day celebration at Eziowelle Civic Centre.
Correspondent, Emmanuel Chigbata was there and reports that the conferment came as a result of his philanthropic and humanitarian disposition in the growth and development of Idemili which led to the convergence of family members, friends and business experts to celebrate him.
Aside the conferment of Igwulube Idemili, Chief Okafor has been bestowed with many chieftaincy titles, such as Aka ji Ugo, Obata Ife adi, Igwulube Ojoto and many others which testifies to his leadership qualities and visionary disposition.
In his speech, the Traditional Ruler of Ojoto, Igwe Gerald Mbamalu who performed the conferment alongside other traditional rulers in Idemili said that Chief Okafor has been screened and found worthy, fit and deserving to be bestowed with the prestigious title due to his laudable community projects in Idemili.
A sister to the recipient Mrs. Charity Ufondu and some friends, including Chief Emma Nwabudike, Chief Chidi Nwabunike, Chief Chukwudi Mmaduabum in their felicitation messages stated that the exceptional philanthropic services of Chief Okafor to mankind and society are unparalleled and described him as a mentor, role model, human capacity developer and critical stakeholder in the affairs of Idemili and beyond.
Expressing delight, Chief Okafor thanked the traditional rulers for the honour done him saying that it will motivate him the more in the development of Idemili.
Highpoint of event was dance by Chief Okafor accompanied by friends and family members.
