The Traditional Ruler of Awka Community, Obi Gibson Nwosu has returned to the Community, after being out of the Country on health challenges.

 

Obi Nwosu who touched down at Asaba Airport yesterday was received by members of Eze-uzu in council, led by the traditional Prime Minister of Awka, Chief Benjamin Okoye.

 

The return of Obi Gibson Nwosu to Awka has put to rest series of rumour making the rounds in Awka about his Royal stool.

 

Obi Nwosu was accompanied to his palace by a litany of Cabinet Chiefs in Awka Community  as well as media Practitioners of Awka extraction, including, Mr Abuchi Nwozor of Anambra Broadcasting Service and it was a dance of honor for Obi Nwosu who through his reign restored the dignity of Awka Community.

 

At the palace to receive the Traditional Ruler of Awka, Obi Gibson Nwosu were, Professor Austin Nnonyelu of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Chief Christopher Okonkwo from Ifite Awka, Chief Nehemiah Obuora and representatives of all the thirty-three villages in the Community.

 

Speaking at his reception ceremony, Obi Gibson Nwosu thanked the people of Awka for their support and prayers when he was out for medical treatment abroad.

 

According to Obi Nwosu, he gives God the glory for his healing, charging Christians not to be scared of any condition they find themselves.

 

Obi Nwosu shortly after breaking the kolanut prayed for the wellbeing of the people of Awka Community.

 

Also present to receive Obi Gibson Nwosu was the traditional head of Non indigenes in Anambra State Chief Nkwuda, Traditional Ruler of Ezinator Community Igwe Timothy Ezenwaka, among others.

 

Correspondent Kenechukwu Chukwudi reports that a former Transition committee of Awka South Local Government Area, Chief Ekene Okoye was also present during the ceremony which also featured a special live band by Edu Jesus.
