Anambra State Stakeholders under the platforms of Anambra Elders Forum For Good Governance and Chief Executive Officers and Managing Directors of Broadcast Stations in the state have lauded Governor Willie Obiano’s transformational leadership in the past years.

They gave the commendation shortly after joining the Governor on  his  weekly inspection visit to Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, Umueri and Anambra International Convention Centre, Awka.

Government House Correspondent, Ejike Abana reports that wife of the Governor, Dr. Ebelechukwu Obiano accompanied the Governor on the visit while the Commissioner for Works, Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor was on ground to conduct the entourage on  a tour round the facility.

The airport is ready to commence operations as  finishing touches were being put on  some parts of the facility.

From there, the Governor and his visitors also embarked on inspection visit to the Anambra International Conference Center, Awka, were

the  ceiling work, tiling, car park, among others were fast becoming a reality.

The leader of the Elders’ delegation, and former Chief Judge of Anambra State Justice Peter Umeadi stated that their mission is to build community of Anambra Elders who will be willing to dedicate their resources for the good and upliftment of Anambra State, stressing that they can now testify to what the governor has achieved.

For the Executive Secretary of Anambra Elders Forum, Mr. Emeka Mbagha, the airport will make huge impact on the lives of ndi Anambra, expressing optimism that Professor Soludo will bequeath more legacies to ndi Anambra  if he wins.

On his part, the Managing Director of Odenigbo FM, Mr. Tony Olisa Mbeki Ogbonna said that opportunity to embark on the inspection has offered them   better stories to tell the people, especially as it concerns expenditure of Anambra resources in line with  adhering to the principle and mandate of remaining neutral and preserving the truth.

Speaking earlier,  the APGA Gubernatorial candidate, Professor Chukwuma Soludo who stressed that Anambra is an Alpha State,  noted that God has continued to give the state good leaders working and implementing the APGA manifesto.

While appealing to the conscience of ndi Anambra, Professor Soludo made a call for rediscovery of the identity of ndi Anambra, pointing out that the future of Anambra  is in its  past that brandishing of guns and wanton bloodshed is not who ndi Anambra are know for , warning that it is a road to perdition and desolation.

Professor Soludo who spoke extensively on Anambra security and economy under Governor Obiano, regretted that Anambra loses nineteen point six billion naira each day people comply with the sit-at-home order, calling for concerted effort towards rescuing and reclaiming the state.

Responding, Governor Obiano enjoined the elders and media heads to speak up in the face of the unfortunate incidents happening in the state and called for support for the Soludo candidacy, stressing that his support for him is because of his quality that makes him the best.
