Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr Ebelechukwu Obiano says those sponsoring blood spilling and provoking chaos in Anambra State in the name of politics should be resisted for the sake of the future of the State.
Dr Obiano stated this at a special holy mass to celebrate the tenth priestly anniversary of the Spiritual Director of Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry Uke in Idemili North Local Government Area Reverend Father Emmanuel Obimma.
Correspondent Daniel Ezeigwe reports that according to the Governor’s wife, the recent security challenges witnessed in the state are handiworks of desperate politicians who want to discredit the excellent achievements of Governor Willie Obiano in that sector in the last seven years.
She called on Anambra women and youths to resist attempts by power-at-all-costs persons to create a porous structure in order to advance their selfish motives.
Dr Obiano also said that the November sixth governorship election, is not worth any blood, as called for continuous prayer for the State.
She congratulated Reverend Father Obimma for what he has achieved with his ministry and priestly calling, and prayed God to keep sustaining him.
Earlier in a homily Reverend Father Obimma stated that love is a universal language that could change the face of humanity if practiced selflessly.
Reverend Father Obimma while describing the current State of Nigeria as discouraging, noted that only leaders who are willing to make sacrifices can save the future of the country.
The holy mass was attended by some members of the State executive council, lawmakers, captains of industry, the clergy, among others.
Reverend Father Obimma, was ordained a Catholic priest in 2011.
