The Old Boys Association of Saint Charles Special Science School, Onitsha, has held its 2021 First Annual General Meeting in Awka.

 

The meeting attracted members of the Alumni of the school from different parts of the country.

 

The annual zonal meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr Emeka Ezenekwe.

 

Saint Charles Special Science School, Onitsha, is one of the  great  schools that has produced major players in all spheres of academic endeavours scattered all over the world with records of good performance.

 

The Alumni came under one umbrella to pool resources together for the benefit of the school.

The theme of the meeting is “Towards Restoration of Moulders of Men”.

 

In an  address, Dr Ezenekwe said the school’s  Old Boys Association has continued to make impact despite daunting challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and wobbling national economy.

The President explained that they have constituted various committees for smooth running of the association which includes, Restoration Committee, Welfare, Reconciliation and Information Communication Technologies committees, to ensure seamless activities.

Speaking to the ABS, the Committee chairman of the 2021 Annual General Meeting, Mr Eze Chijioke said St, Charles Special Science School, has moulded their students with good principles, academic excellence and moral values, adding that the purpose of the meeting was to brainstorm and make contributions on the way forward, for the betterment of the school.

The Vice President of the association, Engr Chuchu  Ewuzie  urged other Old Boys of the school who are yet to join the association to come on board and help in bringing the glory of the institution back to limelight.

 

In their various remarks, Mr Emeka Iloghalu and Mr Njelita Chukwudi of 1994 set, noted that Saint Charles Special Science School established in 1986 has recorded the best in pure practical science in the history of Anambra state.

 

Presentation of awards , inauguration of committees among others are the highpoints of the meeting.
