Anambra Non-Indigenes United Sincerity Forum has called on their members in the state to support emergence of an administration that will continue to offer them equal opportunities with indigenes as it is currently the case in the state.

 

The group spoke through its Chairman, Comrade Chima Emmanuel during its fund-raising event and chieftaincy title taking ceremony in Oko, Orumba North council Area.

 

Correspondent Chibuzo Obidike reports that Anambra Non-Indigenes United Sincerity Forum was built on the foundation to promote the welfare of non-indigenes in the state in all aspects of life, through inclusion of its members in the scheme of things and to integrate them into fulfilling the dream of their state of residence.

According to Comrade Emmanuel, the dream of the group cannot be achieved without good leadership at the State level which is the reason they want to take active participation in the electoral process.

 

He noted that the November sixth Anambra election must be a decisive one for all, as they need a leader who share their vision, values and development of the group as they houses all ethnic groups in the state with over seventeen thousand members.

 

Mrs. Ngozi Oma and one of the title recipients, Mrs. Angelina Nwinkpo who spoke on behalf of the women wing of the group expressed satisfaction with the love and togetherness that exist among them and assured that they are determined to elect a leader with the interest of non-indigenes at heart and asked all non-Indigenes living in the state to join them.

 

Contributing, some of the members of the group, including Gajere George, Dr. Emmanuel Okonkwo from Imo state, Pastor Okwudili Ugwu from Ebonyi state and Afolabi Afisis  recounted the strategic roles the group played in lifting and caring for her members which they described as overwhelming.

 

The formal presentation of the titles to the recipients, fund raising, dance by musical groups as well prayers for the state and Nigeria were the highpoints of the event.
