The Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, Most Reverend Valerian Okeke has administered the sacrament of confirmation on over four hundred faithful at Our Lady Queen of All Saints, Federal Housing Estate Trans-Nkissi, three-three Onitsha.
In a homily Most Reverend Okeke called on those who received the sacrament of Confirmation to be rooted in the things of God, saying that administering the sacrament on them is aimed at equipping them with the Holy Spirit to stand firm as true solders of Christ.
Archbishop Okeke who charged Christians to always anchor their faith in God as they pass through the challenges of life extolled the Parish Priest and the parishioners for the love that is existing among them calling for sustenance.
Most Reverend Okeke used the forum to urge the Federal government to intensify efforts in checking the high rate of insecurity in the country.
He later prayed for Peace and Progress of Nigeria and for the smooth conduct of the November sixth governorship Election in Anambra State.
The Parish Priest, Very Reverend Father Innocent Nwaliji thanked Archbishop Okeke for the visit which he described as a morale booster to them.
Speaking to the ABS some of those that received the sacrament of confirmation during the mass Master Kingsley Nwankwo and Miss Juliet Ugwanyi promised to be shining light to others.
