Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Ebelechukwu Obiano has promised that her charity organization, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFE, will remain in the state to touch the lives of the needy even after her husband’s tenure runs down in March, 2022.

Dr. Mrs. Obiano, who stated this while addressing people from Orumba North and South Council Area during the kick off of her local government tour said that her love for humanity goes beyond politics, and would continue to manifest after they leave office.

Correspondent Daniel Ezeigwe reports that the governor’s wife is bringing the tour to an end this year after seven years of non-stop empowerment visits to each of the twenty-one local government areas of Anambra State.

While noting that she insisted on holding the tour this year, despite the present security realities, the governor’s wife said that it has become an integral part of her to give to the poor and that she would always do it as an instruction from God.

On her part, the wife of the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the November sixth governorship election, Mrs. Nonye Soludo said that her husband, Professor Chukwuma Soludo would set higher records than he did as a young professor and public servant when elected a governor, stating that his peerless achievements in the public sector are true statement and attestation of his preparation for governance.

In their remarks, the members representing Orumba North and South at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honorables Emeka Aforka and Emma Nwafor, respectively, noted that Dr. Mrs. Obiano has used the tour as not just a platform to extend love but as a major instrument for grassroots reach and poverty alleviation.

On her part, the Anambra State Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, said that continuing with the tour, even with the present security realities, goes very far to tell of Dr. Mrs. Obiano’s value for humanity, especially those in need.

As has become unique with the tour, Dr. Mrs. Obiano gave support to indigent women and children, the aged and physically challenged and widows from each of the thirty-one communities under the two council areas.

The Anambra State Commissioner for Housing, Architect Mike Okonkwo, the Transition Committee Chairmen of Orumba North, Mrs. Ify Obinabo, her Orumba South counterpart, Chief Cyprian Okereke were part of the tour.
