As the November sixth Anambra governorship election draws nearer, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Victor Umeh, has reiterated that there will be no room for manipulation of the outcome of the exercise.
Chief Umeh advised Ndi Anambra to put the State first while making the decision on who becomes the next Governor of the State.
Correspondent Valentine Mbadugha reports that Chief Umeh, who was a guest on ABS Radio phone-in program, Nzuko Anambra, emphasized that anyone who would emerge as the next Governor must be chosen by Ndi Anambra.
While discussing the topic, APGA and good governance, Chief Umeh enumerated some of the achievements of APGA government in Anambra with regards to education, infrastructural development, security, welfare of citizens, among others.
He viewed the November sixth election as a determinant factor, as it concerns the future of Anambra State, calling on Ndi Anambra to be focused and ensure that they make informed decision, with the interest of the State at heart.
Chief Umeh noted that producing Professor Chukwuma Soludo as the candidate of APGA was in the spirit of patriotism, and expressed strong belief that he will outperform incumbent Governor Willie Obiano and ex-Governor Peter Obi.
While stressing that APGA has a tradition of excellent performance, Chief Umeh noted that Professor Soludo, with his wealth of experience and knowledge, will place Anambra State on the global economic map, adding that the foundation has been well laid by Governor Obiano.
He further stated that Professor Soludo, who has served Nigeria and other international communities in different capacities, is the best person to pilot the affairs of the State at this challenging time the world economy is in shambles.
He appealed to everyone to unite and make Anambra State great by choosing a leader that understands the demands of the present day Nigeria and that of the world.
