The Archbishop, Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim, has challenged Christians to rise and defeat all things challenging the purpose of God in their lives.

Archbishop Ibezim, who stated this at Saint Michael and All Angles Anglican Church, Agulu, during a pastoral visit to Agulu Archdeaconry, x-rayed the importance of worshipping God, which he said is expected of Christians because of its spiritual significance.

The Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese harped on the need for Christians to be obedient God’s direction, stating that as he is the owner of the universe and everything herein, adding that there will be no more losses or tribulations for all that truly worship God.

He advised the parishioners not to harbour anger in their hearts, rather have a forgiving spirit and draw closer to God with clean hands and hearts, as well as allow the spirit of God to rule in their lives.

The Vicar of the Parish, Reverend Nelson Ogunta, noted that the Archbishop’s visit has reawakened their spiritual life to enable them embark on aggressive evangelism in order to win more souls for Christ.

Correspondent, Amaka Chibuzor Okoye, reports that the pastoral visit featured series of prayers for peaceful Anambra governorship election, and for God to put to end bloodshed in the country.
