The office of Anambra State Governor on Disability Matters has launched a website for easy access.

The Special Adviser to Governor Obiano on Disability Matters, Barrister Chuks Ezewuzie, disclosed this while speaking to the newsmen in Awka.

Correspondent Chibuzor Okoye reports that while speaking at the launch of the online platform in Awka, Barrister Ezewuzie said the website was developed by OGDM ICT team headed by Mr. Ugonna Umeokwonna, a visually impaired Engineer, an ICT specialist and a web developer employed by Governor Obiano.

Barrister Ezewuzie maintained that as Governor Obiano has placed the State on the world map, it is imperative that every agency of his government is ICT compliant, as the world has become a global village.

Giving an overview of the website, which is www.ogdm.info, Mr. Umeokwonna said it is the first of its kind as it has a thick sensor that makes it accessible for all persons with disabilities.

In a vote of thanks, the Anambra State Chairman, Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities, Comrade Ugochukwu Okeke, noted that the online platform is an avenue for them to showcase to the world what the Obiano administration has done for them since inception, as well as ensure that they are not lagging behind in today’s technological world.
