The people of Anambra West Local Government Area have Declared their Support For the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA in next month’s governorship election and endorsed Professor Chukwuma Soludo and his running mate Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim when the duo meet critical Stakeholders of the Local Government Area at Umueze Anam.
Professor Soludo’s endorsement came after a meeting with major stakeholders of Anambra West extraction who presented their challenges before the APGA governorship candidate.
Some of the stakeholders present at the meeting were, the Member Representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency at the National Assembly Chief Chinedu Obidigwe, the Member Representing Anambra West Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Mr Patrick Udoba, the Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Mr Sylvester Orji-Okafor, the former Transition Committee Chairman of the Local Government Area, Mr Tonycollins Nwabunwanne , the Permanent Secretary Anambra State Ministry of Transport, Dr. Emman Ude Akpeh, traditional rulers in Anambra West Local Government Area led by Igwe Sylvester Nnose of Ivite Anam, the religious Presidents-General, top government officials among others.
Speaking during the Stakeholders meeting, Professor Soludo promised that he will tackle the challenges bedeviling the area since Governor Willie Obiano had made the presence of government felt in the area and urged then to vote for the party during the November sixth Anambra State governorship election.
On his part, the Member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency at the National Assembly Chief Obidigwe who thanked the people for their support to the Obiano administration assured that Professor Soludo if elected will not disappoint them and appealed to them not to be deceived by Political merchants parading themselves all over the State.
The member representing Anambra West Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly Mr Patrick Udoba, thanked the people for coming out enmass and promised that he will work with Professor Soludo, if elected to raise the bar of socio-economic development of the people of the area.
