Anambra State electorates have been advised to discard any information of election manipulation by any political party as the November sixth governorship election remains sacrosanct under a free, fair and credible arrangement.

The governorship candidates of different political parties stated this during Anambra Governorship Debate, held on ABS television Awka.

Correspondent Valentine Mbadugha reports that the debate, organized by some youth  organizations including the Diamond Youth Transformation Initiative DYTI, Nigeria Youth Decide NYD, Nigeria Must Be Great Again, NMBGA, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Youth Wing among others was attended by Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo, the candidate of African Democratic Congress, ADC, Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo of African Action Congress, AAC, Arc Col Geoff Onyejegbu of Allied People’s Movement, APM and Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

The ADC candidate, Nze Nwankpo and his APM counterpart Arc. Col. Onyejegbu, who spoke shortly after the debate, reaffirmed their earlier statement that Anambra election would be decided by the people of Anambra State.

They called on eligible voters to ensure that they cast their votes according to their conscience and encouraged the youths to participate actively in the electoral process to help build the society of their dream even as they advised candidates of other political parties to resort to issue based campaign rather than propaganda.

Speaking on the essence of the debate, the chairman, Debate Host and President of Diamond Youth Transformation Initiative, Mr. Uchechukwu Paul said that the debate was aimed at allowing Ndi Anambra to make informed decisions towards building a prosperous Anambra State adding that election is no longer business as usual but a critical time in the life of the entity to decide their future.

Mr. Uchechukwu further advised the youths to change their mindset towards election by not allowing themselves to be used in destroying the society as the future belongs to them.
