Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr Ebelechukwu Obiano says she is certain that wife of the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the November sixth governorship election, Mrs Nonye Soludo would perform more than she did if her husband, Professor Chukwuma Soludo wins.

 

Dr Obiano who stated this while addressing people from Ihiala and Ekwusigo Local Government Areas in continuation of her 2021 Local Government Area tour, said that Mrs Soludo has already exhibited a deep passion for charity and has also pledged to do much better.

 

Correspondent Daniel Ezeigwe  reports that while addressing the people, Dr Obiano said that it was unnecessary for Anambra women and the less privileged people to worry about her departure, assuring that Soludo’s wife shares her philanthropic philosophies and is ready to hit the ground running.

The governor’s wife, however, noted that it is the responsibility of Anambra electorate, especially women, to vote for the right person and resist plots by those who want to abridge the progress of the state.

 

While asking Anambra electorate, especially women, not to give in to threats intimidation and fears  on  the election day, Dr Obiano assured them that  adequate security would be provided to maintain peace and secure lives .

 

Wife of the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in the November sixth governorship election in Anambra State, Mrs Nonye Soludo, in her address, said that the forthcoming election was crucial because it would define the future of Anambra State, and asked women to do what is right by voting for the best platform, APGA.

In his speech, the Deputy Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Dr Paschal Agbodike who called for peace in the state especially as the election draws closer, urged eligible voters not to allow dissuasive political tactics from few desperate politicians to stop them from casting their votes on the election day.

In their separate remarks, the Anambra State Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue and the Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, Venerable Amaechi Okwuosa, said that the governor’s wife has set a strong precedence for her successor and established a model that would live for years to come and urged the electorate in Anambra State to return the gesture by voting for APGA in the forthcoming election, as it is only party that can retain the standards.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Ihiala Local Government Area, Engineer Jude Obi and his Ekwusigo counterpart, Barrister Austin Enendu, noted that the governor’s wife’s all-inclusive charity approach is already a household identity that must be sustained because of its unrivaled grassroots focus over the past seven years.

 

Wife of the National Chairman of APGA, Mrs Mary Oye and the wife of the Secretary to the Government of Anambra State, Mrs Rosemary Chukwulobelu, the Managing Director of Anambra Road Maintenance Agency, ARMA, Engineer Emeka Okoye, were equally at the event.
