Eleven days to the much-awaited Anambra governorship election, electorate in the commercial city of Onitsha have expressed readiness and willingness to exercise their franchise.

 

In a chat with ABS Correspondent, Blessing Ijedibia, the electorate said their voter cards are handy, as they await the important exercise.

 

One of them, Mr. Okechukwu Obi emphasized that Anambra State, which he described as the backbone of the Eastern part of the country and beyond, needs a Governor that will carry everybody along in the daily affairs of the State.

 

According to him, Anambra is well known for wealth creation, hence the need for sustenance of good governance.

 

On her part, a petty trader, Mrs. Pauline Onyedo called for adequate security on the election day and beyond, praying for a credible candidate to emerge from the exercise.

 

Contributing, a commercial bus driver, Mr. Friday Odene called on the political class to play their game in accordance with extant rules, insisting that election should not be a do or die affair.
