The remains of Late Chief Julius Odinigwe have been committed to mother earth at his country home Umuatulu Awovu village, Enugwu-ukwu Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State.
Late Odinigwe who passed on at the age of Eighty-one  was untill his death a devout Christian who contributed to the socio-economic development of his community and left remarkable legacies .
Members of the bereaved family, both nuclear and extended, including friends and colleagues were on ground to pay final respect to Late Chief Odinigwe who was adjudged to have touched  every members of his family and community with sincerity and genuine  love.
Many sympathizers testified that he was and would continue to be a role model whose honesty and hard work were manifest in the community and beyond.
The burial ceremony commenced with a requiem mass at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church Enugwu-ukwu, presided over by the Auxiliary Bishop of Awka Diocese Most Reverend Jonas Benson Okoye with other Catholic Priests in attendance .
Bishop Okoye, who sympathized with the bereaved family said that the deceased worked for the expansion of faith in his zone, praying God to grant him eternal rest.
In a homily, during the requiem mass, Reverend Father Chidi Ozumba from SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church Nise, reminded the congregation the inevitability of death for all mortal,  and tasked every individual to renew their relationship with God noting that the deceased invested his life in the service of God and mankind which should be emulated by all.
After the mass, internment  of the deceased followed immediately at the deceased home and
though the deceased died at a ripe age , family and friends could not control their tears at the funeral site .
Commiserating with the family, Mr. Chukwuma Muo, a friend, eulogized the deceased, saying that he left indelible legacies on the sands of time and pray God to grant him eternal rest.
On his part, an in-law to the family, Chief Ken Awagu, said  the deceased was a man of high principles and lover of all and prayed God to give them fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
In their seperate speeches, the children of the deceased, in including, Messrs Uche and Emmanuel Odinigwe,  Mrs Mary Anaeto, daughter,  and Master Chukwuemeka Anaeto a grandchild  described their father as a man of high principles promising to keep his legacy going. and expressed  gratitude to those who have contributed in giving their late father a befitting burial saying their family felt humbled and highly honoured by the gesture.
Different age grades, colleagues, associates and friends took turns to pay condolences with special performances by APAMS Brass and Ohafia War Dance group.
