As the November sixth Anambra governorship election counts down, the flagbearer of the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, Dr. Nnamdi Nwawuo has reiterated his intention to foster sustainable development and make Anambra a pride of place if elected as the next Governor of the State.

 

Speaking to newsmen at Our Lady Catholic Church Umueri, Anambra East Council Area, Dr Nwawuo assured of his determination to consolidate on the laudable achievements of the present administration, which he said include repositioning the education sector and improving the living conditions of the populace.

He said he is the best candidate to governor Anambra, expressing optimism that he will be victorious at the end of the election to enable him make Ndi Anambra smile through his structured development agenda.

 

Dr. Nwawuo, who urged Ndi Anambra to come out en-masse and participate actively in the election, pleaded with them not to compromise their mandate, but choose the right candidate for the betterment of the State.

 

On his part, the Deputy governorship candidate of the party, Chief Gozie Igbo said the party has distinct structure because God has positioned it to salvage the State, expressing hope that the election will be free, fair and transparent, even as he described his principal as the best candidate any one could ask for because he is a traditionalist to the core.

The Campaign Director General of the party, Mr Paul Ofoegbu said their candidate, Dr Nwawuo, is a philanthropist to the core and has all the sterling qualities needed to govern Anambra, calling on INEC to ensure free, fair and credible election on Saturday.

 

In their separate speeches, the State Secretary and Woman Leader of the party, Mr. John Ijeoma and Lady Joy Obi said their mandate is to embark on grassroot mobilization to ensure that they win come November Sixth, asking people to come out en-mass to participate in the exercise.

Correspondent, Amaka Chibuzor Okoye reports that many Support Groups endorsed Dr Nwawuo to take over the seat of Anambra government house, while others, including Omabala Political Enlightenment Forum, Ugogbuzue Group, Grassroot Ladies, Hausa Communities, also spoke in one voice, that Dr. Nwawuo of PRP should take over the leadership of Anambra State come November sixth.
