The Spiritual Director, Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry Uke, Reverend Father Emmanuel Obinma has called on Christians to live a life of obedience anywhere they may find themselves.

 

Reverend Father Obinma, who is also the Parish Priest, Blessed Iwene Tansi Parish, Umudioka, Dunukofia Local Government Area in a sermon during a Holy Mass at the parish, described obedience as a virtue that attracts God’s blessings and unimaginable success.

 

Correspondent Valentine Mbadugha quotes Reverend Father Obimma as saying that obedience and humility are inseparable and stressed the need for citizens to always obey constituted authority.

 

While emphasizing that disobedience and insubordination are destructive, Reverend Father Obimma called on Christians to emulate Jesus Christ, whom he described as the Father of obedience even unto death.

 

He charged Christians to always obey the commandments of God to achieve greatness in life and cited the implications of disobedience using the biblical Moses, Saul and Jonah among others as case studies.

 

Father Obimma during the Holy Mass prayed for peaceful election in Anambra State and a good leader that will succeed Governor Willie Obiano, whom he said has done well for the state.
