The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor says converting from one religion to another without faith is meaningless.

In a sermon at Saint Andrew’s parish Ezinifite in Aguata Local Government Area during a service of confirmation and admission into Girls and Women’s Guild and Christian men’s fellowship for all the parishes under Ezinifite Archdeaconry, Bishop Ezeofor who described religion as a way of relating with God called on the faithful to always have close relationship with God in order to inherit His abundant blessings.

Bishop Ezeofor who maintained that the followers of Christ are those born of new creature called on Christians to aspire to be role models wherever they find themselves.

He called on Christians to obey the word of God as His disciples, reminding them also to obey the constituted authority in order to enthrone a God fearing and decent society.

Bishop Ezeofor who charged the faithful to be in touch with God for spiritual growth cautioned them against acts capable of contradicting their faith in God.

In their various remarks the Archdeacon of Ezinifite Archdeaconry Venerable David Obiagboso and Vicar of Saint Andrew’s parish Ezinifite Reverend Kenechukwu Nwosu who thanked Bishop Ezeofor for the visit charged all those that received the sacrament of confirmation and those that were admitted into various groups to use their new position in winning more souls for Christ.

Eighty-seven candidates received the sacrament of confirmation while thirty-eight girls were admitted into girls Guild and thirty women into the women’s guild.

Seventeen Men’s were also enrolled into the Christian men’s fellowship during the service which was also attended by the President of the Aguata Diocesan women’s ministry Mrs Chinyere Ezeofor.
