The obsequies for the late Mrs. Stella Okoye, nee Nwashili, alias Madam Salo, of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS Awka, will commence tomorrow evening with a Service of Songs, at St Peter’s Anglican church Hall, Amawbia, at five O’clock in the evening.

According to a burial programme released by her family, the burial proper will hold on Saturday, thirteenth November, 2021.

Her remains will arrive the headquarters of ABS by seven O’clock on Saturday morning, for a brief stop-over, where her colleagues will file pass her corpse, as a mark of last respect.

She will after that, proceed to her country home, at Number four, St Peter’s Church Avenue, Amawbia Bye Pass, where her remains will lie in state, before commendation service at St Peters church, Amawbia.

Late Stella Okoye, Madam Salo, was survived by her husband, Mr. Ejike Okoye, her daughter, Miss Chinwe Okoye, an aged mother, and other relations.

The late Stella Okoye was a bundle of talent in the programmes department of ABS, where she created and sustained a flagship drama programme on both radio and television, called ”In the House”.

A candle light procession had earlier been held in her honour by the staff and management of ABS, just as the station and the Okoye family have been receiving condolence messages from her top fans, including the wife of Anambra State governor, Dr. Ebelechukwu Obiano.
