The vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP in the 2019 general election and former governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi has congratulated Professor Chukwuma Soludo on his victory in the just concluded Anambra State gubernatorial election.
Mr. Peter Obi in his congratulatory message, thanked Ndi Anambra, who braved all odds and came out to perform their civic duties.
He urged them to support the in-coming governor through prayers and other legitimate means to see that Anambra State returns to its former glory as the Light of the Nation.
Also, the candidate of Young Progressive Party, YPP, in the just concluded Anambra State governorship election, Senator Ifeanyi Uba has congratulated the governor- elect, Professor Soludo on his electoral victory.
In a statement, Senator Ubah said as a democrat and law-abiding citizen, he wholeheartedly accepted the outcome of the election and made it clear that he did not intend to challenge the electoral results as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC through any court or judicial process.
He urged others, who contested in the election to move on and thread this same path of honour.
For the candidate of Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, in the just concluded governorship election in Anambra Sate, Dr Obiora Okonkwo has joined the league of prominent Ndi Anambra and Nigerians, who have congratulated the governor-elect, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, for emerging victorious.
In a congratulatory message to Professor Soludo, Dr Okonkwo noted that it was God that gave him victory and called on all, to bow to God’s supreme will.
He assured Professor Soludo of his support in prayers and other areas, for the progress of the state.
On his part, the former Minister of Aviation, Chief Osita Chidoka, also joined his voice in congratulating the governor-elect, Professor Soludo saying that the result of the election represents the voice of the people of the state and a loud mandate to the winner.
Chief Chidoka, who is also an ex-Corps Marshall of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, extolled the leadership qualities of candidates of all the political parties and urged Professor Soludo to use his wealth of experience and knowledge to unlock Anambra State while commending Ndi Anambra State, especially the youths, for their peaceful disposition during the election.
