All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, stakeholders in Ward three, Umudioka Awka, have celebrated the victory of the party at the just concluded Anambra gubernatorial election, in which APGA standard bearer, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, emerged victorious.

 

Addressing party faithful who gathered in their numbers to celebrate the victory, the Transition Committee Chairman of Awka South Local Government Area, Mr. Leo Nwuba expressed happiness over APGA’s overwhelming victory at the poll, thanking God, President Muhammad Buhari, APGA stakeholders from National to Ward level, as well as Anambra electorate for the victory of the party; despite apprehension expressed before the poll.

In his speech, the Executive Secretary, Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, ASHIA, Mr. Simeon Onyemachi noted that the victory of APGA is a victory for Ndi Igbo, noting that Anambra electorate have proven themselves committed to democracy and progress by coming out to vote despite tensions, and called for prayers for the Governor-elect, Professor Soludo.

 

Similarly, another APGA stakeholder in the ward and patron of Soludo Support Group, Engineer Michael Mmoufunaya said APGA has consistently brought good governance to Anambra State, which he said Governor Willie Obiano maintained, expressing optimism that the incoming Governor will do more, given his pedigree as a renowned economist and technocrat.

 

Correspondent Kenechukwu Chukwudi reports that some others who spoke at the event, including the Ward Chairman of the party, Mr. Patrick Anibe, Chairman of Odera Market, Mr. Emmanuel Nwaonwu and a party stalwart, Mr. Christopher Uzor emphasized that APGA is a party for all and has come to stay, urging all to be united in moving the State forward, as according to them, Professor Soludo will do the State proud.
