The Transition Committee Chairman, Anaocha Local Government Area, Mr Patrick Onyedum has congratulated the Anambra State Governor-Elect, Professor Chukwuma Soludo for winning the November 6 governorship election in the state.
Political Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that Mr Onyedum who made the Congratulations in Awka, described Soludo’s victory as a true reflection of the wishes of the people of Anambra State.
The Local Government Chairman, who congratulated Soludo on behalf of the people of Anaocha Local Government Area, described the governor-elect as a technocrat, consummate economist who will be of a great asset to the people of Anambra State, assuring him of their unflinching support.
Mr Onyedum also expressed appreciation to Governor Willie Obiano, security agencies for their determination to ensure that the election went on as smoothly as possible, and the Independent National Electoral Commission for providing a level playing ground in the election.
He noted that the spectacular performance of Governor Obiano in office made the victory possible and called on those that contested the Anambra State governorship election with Professor Soludo to join hands with him to reposition the state, even as he commended the former National Chairman of APGA, Senator Victor Umeh and a stakeholder of the party in Anaocha Local Government Area, Chief Cyril Okoye for the role they played towards the success of APGA in Anambra State governorship election.
