A former Commissioner for Health in Anambra State Dr Josephat Akabuike has celebrated the victory of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA in the just concluded Anambra State governorship election.

The ceremony took place at his country home Nanka in Orumba North Local Government Area.

Correspondent Nneka Anoliefo was there and reports that Dr Akabuike who is currently the Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu  University Teaching Hospital Amaku, Awka, also appreciated Governor Willie Obiano for the choice of Professor Soludo who he affirmed, has been tested and trusted and is capable of taking Anambra State to enviable heights.

He commended the APGA faithful in Nanka for believing in Professor Soludo and for voting en masse for him and his Deputy Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim in the just concluded gubernatorial election.

In their separate speeches, the member representing Orumba North in the State House of Assembly, Sir Emeka Aforka, the Chairman Orumba North Local Government Area Transition Committee Mrs Ify Obinabo, the Special Assistant to Governor Obiano on Security, Mr Ostar Christopher, expressed satisfaction with the way APGA faithful trooped out en-masse to exercise their franchise despite tension created by some individuals.

Contributing, the APGA Chairman in Orumba North, Chief Festus Alukwe, Nanka APGA Co-ordinator, Mr Emmanuel Muoneme, Special Adviser to Governor Willie Obiano on Special Duties and Public Orientation, Mr Obinna Ikwueto, remarked that Soludo’s victory will help boost confidence among APGA faithful in Nanka.
