A former Commissioner for Education Mrs Vivian Okoye has described the outcome of the Anambra State Governorship Election as will of God and collective will of the people.

Speaking in Awka Mrs Okoye said the election has further raised the status and good image of the state within and beyond the shores of the country.

Our man Paul Ezeoke reports that Mrs Okoye who is also the first Executive Chairman of Ekwusigo Local Government Area said the State electorate used their votes wisely to protect the future of the State and ensure that the state remains on course for stainable development, while expressing optimism that the Governor-elect, Professor Soludo would justify the confidence reposed in him by elevating the state to place of pride.

Also speaking, the State Vice Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance, Anambra Central, Sir Theophile Nnoli said God answered the prayers of people of the state and ensured peaceful and most credible election, noting that Professor Soludo won the election because he was the best candidate and the electorate voted according to their conscience and conviction.

Sir Theophile commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for providing a level playing ground for all the candidates to contest and security agencies for demonstrating professionalism and civility in their conduct throughout the exercise.
