Ohaneze Ndigbo, Anambra State chapter, says the outcome of the November sixth gubernatorial election is a true reflection of the wishes of Ndi Anambra.

The President, Ohaneze Ndigbo Anambra chapter, Prince Emeka Udodeme, stated this during a press conference held at the Awka office of the Organization.

Queen Anigbogu  reports that Prince Udodeme while describing the election as the most peaceful he had ever witnessed, thanked God, Ndi Anambra, security agencies and the Ohaneze Ndigbo for their fatherly role before and during the election.

He also commended Governor Willie Obiano and President Mohammadu Buhari for providing enabling environment and a level playing ground for the peaceful and credible conduct of the election, and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for their unbiased stance and prayed for its sustenance in future elections in Nigeria.

Prince Udodeme further congratulated Professor Chukwuma Soludo for emerging victorious in the hard-fought election and advised him to discharge his duties according to  his manifesto and to toe the path that will engender progress and development in Anambra State.

In his remarks, the vice President Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, called on President Buhari to emulate Anambra government zoning formula by ensuring that the 2023 presidency is zoned to the South East for justice and fairness.

Also speaking, the chairman of the body in Awka South council area, Comrade Uzo Ekemezie, while congratulating Professor Soludo, advised him to employ an all-inclusive governance devoid of sentiment, party or religious affiliation adding that he belongs to Ndi Anambra in general.

In their separate comments, the National vice president Ohaneze Ndigbo, Women wing, Mrs Amaka Ikwuka and the youth leader, Comrade Onyedika Eweh, appreciated the women and the youths for the role they played in ensuring that the election was peaceful and appealed to them to see that the peace in the state is sustained.
